Less talk from me, straight to silis7noy’s latest lil update for us. This is one of the few polls that actually matter and have more meaning to them than the other ones like “which star would you want to share an umbrella with” or whatever 😛
A new Sports DongA poll, they polled 100 entertainment celebrities, they are picking the “Star of Stars”. DongA is the major newspaper in Korea so this survey we can add to SNSD career book it’s one of the nicer ones, especially since it’s done by the peers in the K-ent industry
“Who is the biggest Headline Star of Korean entertainment?”
“Overwhelming number chose SNSD. The reason was clear. SNSD is the “Reigning Force in entertainment” that no one can deny. Participants like Finkl’s Sung Yuri, Actors Cha TaeHyun, Song JoongGi specifically mentioned SNSD as the Force.”

Wow “reigning force of the entertainment industry” is a major phrase. To be picked by celebrities as the main force shows the girls aren’t just big with fans, but also from their peers as well. Sweeeeeeeet eh? Congrats girls I should add!

Didn’t care much for the article, but the title and picture made me lol so hard. Good job.
This is like twitter trending. The reason they ARE so popular is because they work SO SO much, individually on shows and dramas, through CF’s, in pairs as MC’s, as all nine on the music shows. Fame is ephemeral, so those that wonder why Big Bang or Rain or celebrity X isn’t higher on the list need only look at the amount of minutes SNSD spends on the television or radio compared to anyone one else. No single person can match that kind of work ethic. It would be physically impossible.
And remember, it’s fellow celebs that are doing the rating. They understand that it’s all about camera time. Even the hardest working MC in the biz, Yoo Jaesuk can’t compare.
And that is a self-reinforcing loop. The more time they spend on TV, the more time they CAN spend on TV. Any celebrity has the Warhol Effect. Once their 15 minutes is up, the public wants to shout, NEXT. But not SNSD. There’s just too much to see and appreciate. Nine powerfully unique individuals, each beautiful, each BETTER when paired with another, into threes, or fours, or all nine.
The only downside to this is just how much the girls can take. How busy is too busy? I know most fans worry. I know I do. We want more, more, more, but they’re only flesh and blood.
The flip side to that is that they have each other for support, and that’s powerful, so they CAN run harder, for longer, than almost anyone.
Still, ladies, Hwaiting!! but ffs, get some rest when you can.
