You know how last week, I said I’d be so busy with meetings that I’d be the last person to see Wednesday’s showcase and videos? Then it turned out nothing good even came out for almost the entire day yesterday! But because I was so tired, I went to sleep before 12 for once and I actually missed the MV release by 20 minutes D: When my sister told me that at breakfast, she even had the nerve to tell me she came in my room, saw me sleeping, and laughed instead of waking me up. That bastard child ;_;
I don’t know what I feel about the song… it’s somewhat repetitive, they even use the same girl to sing the same line! Merrr, don’t know how I feel about that.
MV was good however and at least it didn’t make me bust out laughing like 4MINUTE‘s Muzik (though maybe it might’ve been JiYoon‘s intro…) but when does 4MINUTE never make me laugh? Though, I’ll admit, 4MINUTE definitely had better costumes/clothes in my opinion.
The dance was better than I expected because I thought that since the lyrics were repetitive and generic, the dance would be too. So by far, I’m most impressed with dancing and vocals. I know they didn’t have too many hair raising notes, but I can tell who has strong vocals and who doesn’t already.
But yo, Seongyeon just made fire. FIRE. Haha I know that affect has been done before… but it’s still hot. Automatic favorite? But what about lil Jung?! So confused @_@ Haha actually, from the pictures I saw yesterday, and knowing the song she sang at the showcase, I already knew that she would be the lead singer and have >>the best vocal chrods<<. So it didn’t surprise me that she had the most solo lines in the song and that she was the one singing the more ‘powerful’ notes.
Still don’t have a pairing for anyone in the group… Don’t know if I’m looking for one either. But if I were, I am so looking forward to Seongyeon and Krystal interaction for some reason. Sorry Manber, you can be Krystal’s Bro! Every Jung’s got at least one and Krystal’s sister just happens to have two that go by the name of SooRi.

I watched the video a few times. Which means I actually like the song. Not exciting, but pleasant. It really kicks into gear during Amber’s rap.
Mainly this is a video to show off the girl’s dancing, and, as such, it was almost as good as the teaser.
If I hadn’t been familiar with Krystal, I might have thought she was a beauty based on the video. But I know it’s smoke and lighting. In real life, she’s closer to plain than pretty — but at least she seems to match everyone else for talent and presence.
Continuing on looks: Sul Li is very cute. Victoria appears — I need to see more to be sure — to be the beauty of the group. Amber is less pretty than her early pictures promised. I need to see more of Luna to place her in the hierarchy.
It’s hard to gauge the voices on studio recordings — so much processing is done to them. I’ll wait for a live performance or, better yet, a radio show where they sing naked, so to speak. However, it is clear that there isn’t an outstanding voice such as TaeYeon or SungHee.
So much depends on the talent behind the scenes. I hope SME isn’t stretched beyond their resources.
Well one source I have who has met SNSD and other SM trainees did say that Krystal really does look AND act like a normal girl. So I expect a lot from her in terms of personality.
Seolri is cute and she looks liek she’ll be the fun none, maybe even the “Seungyeon” (KARA) of the group.
Either way, her rapping made up for her stiff dancing.
Victoria seems like a normal girl too.
Seongyeong looks like she can show off some sexy and seriousness so I’m looking forward to that and more of her vocals. Though I’m still trying to figure out who is the lead singer since Krystal had the most lines but Seongyeon’s voice sounds like it’s more controlled. Seeing as they’re young, I hope soon they’ll be able to grow into a Sunghee/Taeyeon/Sunye.
Amber……… the MV and pictures from before are two complete people. Maybe one’s Manber and one’s Amber?!

Sul Li does look like she be a lot of fun to be around. That’s probably a large part of her appeal.
Based on the hairstyle, I think it was Victoria who did the front walkovers in the teaser — so she could have a gymnastics background… altho, I did notice that those stunts were cut into the video rather than continuing from the previous movements and continuing onto the next (ie, there could have been several takes to get it right). In addition, Vic has a very classy look about her — like some high fashion model.
It was kinda neat getting introduced to this group this way. I usually don’t check out any new ones unless something really intrigues me. But, thanks to this forum, I’ve got to watch a group debut.

The MV looks pretty neat. But what confounds me is that the girls entered the bar, and then plays hide and seek (?) and then exits the bar [of course with Amber being the gentleman that (s)he is].
But if it’s something that SM does to me all the time, it’s making the song sink into your head after many listens. As much as I hate that, it’s working on me now. Similar to Etude, I find myself unconsciously singing to Lachata in class, esp. “cum cum cum cum on babyy”

Luna seems like the Diva superstar (I think her voice is good not near god mode like Taeyeon or Jonghyun but it’s early) where as Krystal and Sully are the front girls, Victoria is of age and has a saxy boday, and Manbers got da man angle covered.
Luna was my fav but now Krystal is jumping out at me for some reason (there’s something about her knees/leg muscles that’s nice o_o) but she’s 14, so yea, no go.
LOL I love Jiyoon, she’s got the most talent in the group and she’s hot. I used to love Hyunah, but I have no clue what’s going on with her and that whole thing with her voice….. not feelin it until she goes back to her normal tone.
