Girlfriend is about Jessica’s love for Tiffany; it is a duet between the two lovers and the lyrics mirrors their relationship. The rest of the straight(?) girls will be singing Boyfriend. It’ll sound something like

Korea loves Lady Gaga<3

The girls make a wish to a Genie because they want to make an Etude* (the type of music JeNy already makes on their alone time) with someone. They become a Girlfriend (or for one in particular, they get a girlfriend) to their Boyfriend. Afterwards, they have My A Child and One Year Later, that child is on their new show! So I see this whole album is gonna be like a tracklist for their >>Baby Mama<< Show… Hmm, great marketing strategy, SM!

*Etude is French for either study or a piece of music. I never took French, all I know is that it is a French word haha so whatever Webster’s Dictionary gave me is what I’m sticking to.
