On October 15th, ‘Nightline’, an American nightly news program on the channel ABC, ran a story highlighting K-Pop, from PSY’s ‘Gangnam Style’ to SNSD, calling them “The all girl pop craze sweeping the globe.”
Scenes of fans waving pink hearts greeting SNSD in New York last October for SMTOWN LIVE in NEW YORK were shown as ‘Nightline’ begins to explain K-Pop beyond the success of Gangnam Style. Nightline‘s piece explores the K-Pop industry through SM Entertainment, and even went into the company’s offices for a behind-the-scenes look at the training process. The reporter for Nightline singled out SNSD, saying, ”The hottest act, a nine member girl group called Girls’ Generation.”
Clips from other SM artists’ music videos from Super Junior, f(x), and EXO were shown, as well as SNSD’s music videos including Genie, Run Devil Run, Gee, and The Boys, where the reporter referenced SNSD’s chart topping success.
thinking of that the members of snsd went through all that training to perfect there skills
firstly it tells me how very talented theyare to begin with and secondly about how strong there dedication and determination to work that hard to achieve what they have done this far and will do in the future
it is truly amazing
i am happy that my chinese (mandarin) theacher doesnt hit me like that though 😆

snsd to world domination!!!!!!!!
It’s no surprise SNSD IS the hottest act around, but I just can’t stop getting excited that SNSD is discussed in news in the US again. And to think I’ve been using Girls’ Generation in some of my university assignments and getting good grades for them. Kamsahamnida, SNSD!!!!!!!!! Jigeumen, So Nyuh Shi Dae!!!!!!!!! SNSD Fighting!!!!!!!!!
Ooh, what assignments? I mentioned SNSD in my Geography exam early this year. Just a name-drop, because of what they did to help the Japanese disaster effort (I didn’t do all that well in the exam in the end, but I don’t blame SNSD). In fact, I think that was the exam I did on the day Tiffany, Yoona and Seohyun came to my country (England), but in London, for the Burberry event. I couldn’t see them, obviously.
