There’s no stopping them.
On tonight’s Music Bank, SNSD took home their 6th K-chart win for ‘The Boys’! Despite the very close 123-point difference last week, SNSD raced ahead of Wonder Girls by 2286 points, securing yet another win and proving their popularity as Korea’s resident girl group.
SNSD are the only group to have won six times in a row on Music Bank in 2011, with labelmates Super Junior coming in second with five consecutive wins earlier in the year. The girls have also set a new overall record for most consecutive number ones on Music Bank. Coming in first place is SNSD’s explosive hit ‘Gee’ with 9 consecutive wins, in second is Jewelry’s ‘One More Time’ with 7, and after tonight, ‘The Boys’ sits comfortably in third place with 6 wins.

On a side note, the picture above is of the album cover for the second version of SNSD’s third studio album! Although technically not a repackaged album (as the tracklist remains the same as ‘The Boys’ album, with the only addition of the English version of ‘the Boys’), this Mr Taxi version will include a whole new album jacket, complete with new concept pictures, as well as posters and photocards. The album will be released on December 8th.

As for the topic, I like the picture. Especially how they arrange the girls and the use of ladder there.
I like this picture better than any other album cover they’ve done before.
For the promotion, I’d be glad if they use any other songs from the album. I think there are still some songs that are worth performing. It might give the listener a new feel of what other types of music they could perform and eventually, it might attract new fans too. Didn’t they say on many interviews that this album was intended to have many genres? I wonder why do they recorded so many songs if in the end, just two or three are performed on TV.
Anyway, congrats SNSD! You’re the best!

hi snsdkorean staffers, a sg sone here.i would like to ask if is it possible to make a compilation of all the videos of snsd that have fanchants in it,such as the one above (the boys,dec2,2011). Went to watch MAMA 2011,and wasnt particular satisfied with little/no fanchants when our girls performed(maybe bcos not many sones are present). It would be cool if most of the sones(if not all) knows the fanchants when our girls perform,such as those of korean concerts,in addition to the pink lightsticks. I’m sure many sones would benefit if such a compilation is available. Thanks for reading this long post, and i look forward to your favourable reply 🙂
I know Soshified has pretty much all the fanchant guides. Check the tutorials forum (for written guides) and the video downloads forum for karaoke ones. I’ll see what I can do about posting some guides up but it is their work.
