Yes, our dear Seohyun is now an official UNICEF envoy of the UN. She’s now one step closer to fulfilling her dream of being the future UN Secretary General ;).
Seohyun and Super Junior’s Donghae were recently appointed UNICEF envoys at a ceremony held just prior to the opening of the 2011 Asia Song Festival in Daegu on October 11th 2011.
Our dear maknae was especially thrilled to receive this appointment, since her idol is the current UN Secretary General Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, and this is one more opportunity to meet with him again.
In her own words, Seohyun commented:
”I think of it as such an honor, being appointed as a UNICEF envoy. I feel we were appointed to represent Hallyu singers, and will follow this duty of promoting UNICEF.”
In conjunction with the UNICEF appointment ceremony, Seohyun and Donghae also recorded the theme song for the 2011 Asia Song Festival, entitled “Dreams Come True”, and this was officially released at the event for all to enjoy.

Finally, as a thoughtful parting gesture from the 2 artistes, both Seohyun and Donghae donated a pair of dolls that they had personally decorated under the names “Seohyun” and ”Lee Donghae”.
With these 2 outstanding individuals as envoys, the needs of the underprivileged children around the world will certainly be well taken care of :D.
