+ Updated with video of the full concert performance (Thanks Taengoo).
In the light of the sudden distressing news to hit the Soshi fandom, here’s a little tidbit I just discovered that might cheer us all up a bit ;).
I saw this on the Soshi Weekly News Wrap on Soshified that I thought deserved a wider public distribution for the musical talent that was displayed by the performers.
At a recent Festival Of Arts performance by Anglo-Chinese School (Independent), a secondary school in Singapore, a medley of K-Pop hits was performed by their school orchestra band.
Songs by IU, BEG, 2AM and, of course, our favourite 9 ladies, SNSD, were performed in front of a highly appreciative audience. Excerpts from “Oh”, “Gee”, “Genie” and “Run Devil Run” were played during the performance.
I must say that it is good to see the Hallyu wave hit the local Singaporean school music scene too. Enjoy the video !!!

OMG that is sooooo cooool! I love it!
daebak.. hallyu is spreading everywhere even in SG orchestra bands!! xD
Ohh, I remember this performance. I was so surprised when I heard they were performing it for the FOA lol. According to my friends though the choreography was a nightmare to learn and do. coughgeecrabdancecough 😛 4 songs from Soshi and everyone cheered when they came out haha..
Hallyu has really made its way into Singapore, yay! 😀
Wow the Hallyu wave has definitely hit your homeland Kenneth! Really cool clip of the band rocking out!

Some of those, especially Genie, sounded amazing when played by an orchestra. I hope to see more of this in the future.
I must be very bad. I can’t even recognise any of the songs -.-
its so great..awesome!!!
i think majority of the members are sones..XD look how many songs frm SNSD they performed.. and this is the 1st time im impressed…XD
actually only a few members of the band are Sones, including myself. the student conductor is a Sone so he arranged the piece for the entire band to play 🙂
THIS IS AWESOME!!
IT WAS REALLY COOL AND DEFINITELY MADE MY NIGHT!! so proud to have such-kpop enthusiast Symphonic Band in school 😀
Member of the band (and Sone) here~

1) I Don’t Know by APink
2) Bonamana by Super Junior
3) Ring Ding Dong by Shinee
