In honor of Korea’s recent winning olympic bid, The Korea Tourism Organization Kangwon-Do Promotion Office will be holding a FREE KPOP concert and Girl’s Generation will be performing!

Starting at 7PM, the “Pyeongchang Winter Olympics Concert” will be held at the Alpensia Ski Resort in Pyeongchang, on October 7th.  The promotion office expects roughly 10,000 Korean fans and 2,000 foreign fans to fill the seats at the concert venue.

The organizers stated that “It will be meaningful to have a Hallyu concert in countryside rather than in the city. Since many foreign fans will come to the event, it will probably have a positive effect on the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.”

Clearly they are trying to provide more exposure to the region, so that tourists can begin to get a feel for what the Winter Olympics will be like.

The lineup for the concert currently consists of Super Junior, Infinite, BouHwal, Kim Gunmo and Baek Chunggang.

Note: This is not to be confused with the other “Pyeongchang Winter Olympics Concert” that SNSD attended earlier in the year.  This will be a totally different concert.
