Another survey where the 9 ladies are again in the top echelon ranks…
KBS CoolFM Radio recently conducted a preference survey for their 46th Anniversary from June 7th till the 9th to find out which songs Koreans most like to listen to.
The survey involved more than 26,000 participants between the ages of 10-50 and of both genders. In addition to the general Korean public members,the internet voting also took into account the views of music critics and a selection committee.
This resulted in a list of the top 89 songs of all time. As illustrated above, the survey was divided into rank, title and artist.
Girls’ Generation’s iconic song “Gee” was ranked 9th among tunes by veteran artists like Lee Moonsae who placed 1st with “Kwanghwamun Love Song”.
At 2nd and 3rd places respectively were Kim Hyunshik’s “My Love By My Side” and Yoo Jaeha’s “Because I Love You”.
Some other idol artists who made the chart include Big Bang (Lies), IU (Good Day) and 2NE1 (I Don’t Care) who were ranked at 35th, 44th and 50th respectively.
In addition, fellow SME labelmates Super Junior and BOA also made the favourite’s list.
All told, with the diverse musical genres represented on the list, the high placing achieved by the angelic 9 is testament indeed to their popularity and public mass appeal among the Korean (and, dare I say it, almost the rest of the world’s) listening public.

lets go soshi lets go! i like how the candy by hot is on the list, though slightly on top of them. it just reminds me of the moment in hello baby when they were too bored they played the song and sang and dance to it. its just one epic moment. too much great times in hello baby i miss it so bad! >< need more shows like this featuring the girls!
