Shortly after Hoot promotions, year-end shows, television show appearances, etc. there’s more in store for the girls. Starting off the new year with a bang, SNSD will be working in both Korea and Japan to prepare for performances and record a new song!
According to an SM Entertainment representative, “After last year’s year-end events, SNSD are currently taking a short break. In the middle of this month, SNSD will be in Korea for a week where they will be shooting a CF and recording a new song. Of course, the new album‘s date of release is yet to be decided. At the end of this month, 25th and 26th of January, SNSD will be performing at the SM Town Live in Yoyogi Stadium, Tokyo alongside other SM Town artists.”
WOW talk about packed schedule! With rumors flying in about new company ads, possible world tours, etc. it’s safe to say that the Pink Tsunami won’t go away any time soon.
My 2-week long winter break doesn’t even seem that short anymore compared to the short rest these girls are getting. As much as the news are a treat for us Sones, I sincerely hope that the nine stay in good health. Make sure to check back on SnsdKorean on the new album, performances, CF, and SM Town!
With worries aside-
OMFG ARE YOU FREAKING EXCITED. BECAUSE I AM. HOLY MOTHER OF JEEZUS AND EVERYTHING ELSE HOLY. OMG OMG OMG. IS ANYONE ELSE HYPERVENTILATING.

AAAAHHHHHH !!!!!! SUPER SPAZZ ATTACK 😀 😀 😀 !!!! This is HOT news indeed 😀 ! I am SO looking forward to what NEW concept the ladies have in store for us SONEs 😉 ! In the meantime, please rest up well and, if it is in your “angelic power” to do so, grant us POOR SINGAPOREAN SONEs a concert in Singapore this year 🙂 !!! SNSD FIGHTING !!!!
YES!
So Nuyh Shi Dae fighting
What? New album again? sure that sone will be happy, but for soshi Unnie….. oh hope that they stay healthy n strong…
when i read “new album in the works” i was ecstatic to the max :). this is either for their japanese album or their korean comeback, but i honestly, i don’t care. new stuff from SoShi is a sweet delight, but making a new album just puts the icing on the cake for me. SM Town is this month, then we’ve got “Oh” japanese ver. and hopefully we get promo pics and album covers soon. then the much awaited new album…i know its selfish of us to want to see the girls be active again in the new year, despite their busy 2010. but seriously, i want them to have a month off, then they can resume back to recording…however, with “Oh” being release on the 2nd of feb., i doubt they’ll have a pull rest at the moment :(. but anyways…i’m not complaining, any news is good news 🙂
SOSHI angel…hwaiting and make sure have a good health as well……Especially miss Tiffany…^^…..~~~~~
hyperventilating yes.
they really need to take a better break dam SM for making them work so hard
and a break from new albums too as my wallet is non existent =/
I hope this new album will be for their Japan promotions. I feel like they haven’t really done enough in Japan, with Oh! Japanese version, it’s going to be their 3rd remake song, I don’t think that’s making enough progress. Based on what I’ve seen Japanese promotions aren’t as strenuous as Korean promotions, there’s no requirement to appear on 3 music shows every week for 6 weeks straight. So it should be easier on the girls too if they start promoting in Japan more.
I’m really excited but at the same time I feel like I’m having a hard time keeping up as a fan, the girls really need some rest and they need to let the fans rest a little too to build up some anticipation, constant bombardment of new Soshi material will just wear everyone out. Plus, January and February are kind of a bad times to be making a comeback in Korea anyway, with a flurry of boy bands promoting new albums and not to mention top tier groups like TVXQ and Big Bang making long-awaited returns, it’s gonna be a bad idea to go head-to-head against them (I doubt SM will pit two of their top groups against each other anyways). But I’m eager to see what they’ve prepared.
What RagingXL said earlier is pretty much right, but as we know SM wouldn’t let 2 or more of their artists to debut or comeback or else in the music show because they know that if the do that the artists will be compete against the fellow Sm artists. so I believe that TVXQ will be done their comeback promotions, and next is our girls’ time :))
I hope that they recorded new album beside the OH! japan ver. album, so we will get another double-delight from them 😀
Rest well Noona~
Naw, man, it’s like, a plan to keep the Soshi out of Seoul as much as possible if the North takes playing bad boy too far, and all this international good will and attention makes it harder for the DPRK to believe they can get anything out of taking that tack.
I’
ve been hitting the bottle.
lollll @ hitting the bottle. no worries, i’ll protect the girls from my little Korean village. :]
Yey new Album i’m also very excited!

*explodes to pieces due to over excitement =)
i’m so excited!! haha… :3 thanks for the info~!! :3 many people are saying that they’ll be promoting OH this year in japan. glad to know they’ll be making a new song~!…
i’m crossing my fingers for ‘M’ album. haha… ❤
I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT ALBUM!!
although i cannot buy it….T.T…
BUT I LONG TO KNOW THEIR NEW CONCEPT!
SNSD, fighting! ^^
2011 is meant to be more of a calmer year, 2010 had a very hectic pace with commitments to life and the multitude of SNSD related content whizzing past by and either slowly vanished into obscurity, or is still left to the better of what its legacy remains, only to be superceded by something else better in the future and equates to and fro, thus making certain songs feel less impactful than before.
I’m pretty happy that RagingXL made mention of the long-awaited higher tier group comebacks, which means everybody gets a slice of the cake. SM doesn’t entirely realize that SNSD is one of their biggest assets and 2010 was already a good year for them. Letting them rest during what I like to call the doldrums of the year will lessen the need to constantly check up on what SNSD has been doing, to the point that it might become obsequiousness.
Nowadays, with an unending influx of news, I find it much harder for me to keep up with SNSD, when you consider so many expectations from you like school. In an industry where it’s fickle, temporary and fluctuating even though it looks like it’s not, SNSD has already cemented their place in this world, giving everybody a chance in the limelight is probably better for everyone, new groups rise up while we still know of SNSD’s presence. On the plus side, aware of SNSD resting/preparing for future activities while committing ourselves to concurrent activities like school or discovering latent potential is actually beneficial than detrimental.
I’m not displaying utter disdain and hypocrisy if I were to say that I’m not really excited but still enough to acquaint. Whether the new album is Korean, Japanese, or both, despite the amount of news you’re inundated with, builds up anticipation, eagerness and hype after a while is more than good enough as I’m content with what I have.
indeed! i think SM should take note that the girls have been wishing for a full rest and relaxation. the recent interview about their success in 2010 just shows how much they’ve been exhausting themselves trying to complete their schedules and at the same time making the fans happy. when i watch all their recent performances, i don’t see any spark from them at all. they seem to lack the energy and enthusiasm they had from their previous performances. they just simply do the work that needs to be done, but from what i’ve seen lately, they don’t seem to enjoy it that much. don’t get me wrong, i love all new SoShi related stuff…but like what RagingXL said, as a fan its becoming a hard to follow anything SNSD at the moment. i think, its a bit overwhelming to hear non-stop news about SNSD, and at the same time fans are starting to loose their interest. the anticipation build up is definitely wearing thin, so i’m all for a hiatus…and i guess they should have kept quiet about the new album in the works.
*Higher tiered/ of the highest tier/ top tier.
i’m getting poor!!! but i will buy it >)
MORE SONGS! YESSS
made my morning guys! GO SOSHI!!!
JAESUSKRYST D:
ALREADY!!! they have literally to this day just stopped promotions for “Hoot” lol and now they have another album in the works which will probably be released straight after “Oh! (Jap Ver.)”! thats like the shortest time between comebacks i think ive seen in my 2 years obsessed with K-Pop! well if they feel that they must comeback so soon…this “surprise” comeback song must be quite the storm-causer!
omg!!!!! a new concept! a new dance for me to idolize and learn! wohooo partayyy 😀 best news ever! i’m too excited! I’ve only known them since november but i’m already obsesssed obsessed obsesssseeeeddddddd!!!
i wish they’d come to europe..sigh. 🙂
NEW MUSIC…Yes, exciting news indeed!!! The last few weeks especially seemed very hectic for the Girls, schedule-wise and i really hope they get enough of a break to re-charge and stay healthy but this IS how u stay “on top”…by taking advantage of the momentum u have and keep the pedal to the metal (*see WonderGirls for alternate ending).
SNSD Fighting!
I’m sure it will take a while to record the whole album, but yeah aslong as they have eachother they will be fine no need to worry about them.
thumbs up* Like!
YAY!!! But seriously, another one already? My unnies need a well deserved break! Their conditions have probably gone down from all their hard work. I hope they’ll be okay… Anyways, congrats on their new album and cf collaboration! I wonder what the pv and costumes will be like for Oh! Will the new album be Japanese? Korean? I hope Japanese because they haven’t really set solid promotions yet due to their moving back and forth between two countries! I also wonder what company is SNSD collaborating with as well… HMM… Anyways, being an idol is actually hard work! I respect and admire these amazing unnies! SOSHI HWAITING!(>o<)

AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! I am spazzing to the max!
SNSD = My LIFE! =)
I am EXTREMELY EXCITED!!
New album!! Yesh!! 😀
I never get enough of these girls. 🙂
But I hope they get their needed rest and stay healthy!! ♥
weeeeee! 😀
SM should give them a year off instead of all their efforts…and make a super duper suprice comeback the year after 😀 ..keke! too much?
I wonder if japanese “oh” will have the black soshi ending?
Can’t wait ><
I hope the girls will have a good break, though short…. But on the other hand, I AM UBER EXCITED! XD i still wanna know what oh sounds like in japanese but a new song would be awesome! XD
even though i am super super excited for this news… i really worry about the girls’ health. i wish they would rest for at least a month. their lives have been very lackluster lately and it’s very worrying.
and another thing… i really hope sm don’t give these girls another cutesy concept, with submissive lyrics, etc… i hope they stick to the mature ones they’ve been doing lately, like hoot and run devil run…
and lastly, even though i know this has 1% chance of happening, and i’m practically just wasting breathe… i wish sm would let these girls do an old school snsd kind of song and concept… like into the new world and so nyuh shi dae… really shows off their vocals and dancing abilities… i mean, snsd have reached the point where they’d win awards and make money and such without worrying about competition, or whether the public likes the song or not… even if the old school snsd songs didn’t impress the korean public back in their debut days, that wouldn’t be a problem today since they’re, well, SNSD.
i want the best for such a talented and hard working group.
omg these girls have been working way too hard since their japan debut! first they release genie (japan) and then a month later they release gee (japan)! then right before gee is released teasers for hoot come out so they are performing gee and genie in japan while in korea they are promoting hoot! and now we are getting another album and oh (japan)! these girls at least need a few months break after this!
Yay for new album! But isn’t it too soon? And I read a new tweet that their 3rd album will be out on October, omo 😀
im feeling a little rush for them…
but i guess their position should be put in safety. so the corp. is laying such actions…
well the new album will absolutely be JJAng!!!!!
So Nyuh Shi Dae~ Fighting!!!!
In my opinion, SNSD needs a 3 months beauty rests. This is good for the maintenance of their flawless skin & prevent early appearances of wrinkles due to exhaustion & stress. It will also be a time tor them to develop & upgrade their skills & feed their minds with knowledge for them to rise above the crowd (or other idol groups). It is better for them to have form, substance, & function for them to cast a glamor over their audience, fans, & the entertainment industry as a whole. I hope & wish that their individual career & as a group will be flowed with milk & honey. SNSD, Yongseo couple, & CNBlue forever!!!!! Mabuhay!!!
