Currently, the pre-orders for the soshi photobooks were estimated at over 35,000.
According to sales calculations, at 46,000 won each, that amounts to 1.6 billion won….which is about 1,331,890.398 USD. However, the sales prediction from the company feels that they can make up to 2.3 billion won from it.
An official from the company has stated that the ‘SonYuh in Tokyo’ photbook has 354 photos as well as a 90-minute photoshoot making film DVD.
Some wonderful people have posted some cheaper alternatives to getting your hands on the photobook, thanks to all the helpful comments ^_^

well preorder means it hasn’t been released yet. apparently rumours are about that the photobook is limited in stock, which is why pre-orders are going through the roof.
That’s so weird! I preodered back in early May and the price was listed as $64.99
Even when i go into my yesasia account it lists as 64.99 but when you go to the product page it lists the price as $99.99! Is yesasia allowed to do that?! I will not be a happy camper if I find out they’ve charged me $100 bucks!

Damn, I love snsd, and would love nothing than 350 pages of perfect in a book, but $100 is just a bit too much for a young’un like me..

They’re the biggest ripoff merchants on the internet. For most SNSD items (such as albums that come with posters, YA sells those separately to make more money..) $50 for the book, $20 shipping. Much cheaper than YA even with their free shipping offer. $100, wtf.. o.0 DVDheaven’s shipping costs for the photobook are rather high, about $40 for the book and another $40 shipping. Still cheaper than YA.
Man!! Where does that $99 comes from. It was $65 before. Lucky I moved quick. I already have it ordered for $65.

No news yet on that. But technically(legally) if they do ask for another $35, customer do have rights to cancel the order.
