Not entirely sure when the released it but I remember articles stating that Oh! was gonna be their next Japanese album because the Japanese population love it so much due to easy cosplaying. On other sites it stated SNSD will start February 8th, but it’s already the 5th.
Anyhow, I’ll just wait for it patiently. It’s gonna be so much fun with the Japanese Oh!

there is technically no official internationl fanclub…. but soshified is the closest you’re going to get. they’re already recognized by SM and the girls, so please feel free to share your opinions about upcoming concerts at that forum. thank you ^^

I read a rumor that I HOPE is not true :(. Supposedly SM’s planning to release a US Version of “Hoot” which will launch SNSD’s US debut. but the website that posted it made a mistake and accidentally put the japanese edition and change it into the US edition causing fans to panicked because they thought it was for reals. As much as I want them to debut in the U.S., i don’t want them to at this point. I wish for them to have a wider recognization with not just kpop fans but the American public who aren’t aware of them. But launching them so early on would be taking a HUGE risk…I hope SM doesn’t have any ideas yet!

SNSD’s “New Beginning: Girls’ Generation” DVD has been certified GOLD by RIAJ…interestingly, this is quite late since the dvd was already certified a while back. So that sums up to a total of 7 RIAJ classifications for SNSD: “Gee” for both gold and platinum, “Genie” both went gold, and “Hoot” was certified gold as well.

SNSDKorean has done a fantastic job on providing us SONEs’ with the latest news related to SNSD ever since I got into the fandom, I’m not applying for the competition to win the prizes in the stickied SNSDKorean 3rd Anni’, so I’m going to leave it here instead, if you don’t mind.
I’m contented with having the staff do what they do best and is quite altruistic whenever it comes to contests, so I’m just leaving a small token of gratitude here. By the way, Happy 3rd Anniversary, SNSDKorean.
Sorry on the quality of my writing and appearing redundant, I’m not so much of a writer myself and am still learning on expressing my thoughts better. Quality news, no matter how small, is just as special as the endless possibilities a block of wood can provide with our imagination.

Disagreement? I hope he stays/comes back. In my book, Mr. Zheming is/was the best writer, who also knows what to say and what not to say. (Mr. Greeentee comes the close second. Ms. Boss Lady, the third.) You top guys should keep an amicable bond among you regardless of the situation, like Soshi. Sorry if it was non of my business.
Please consider that it may not have been in his interest to stay. I believe that he’s moved on, and so have we. As with all past and current writers, as staff and as sones, we appreciate the work that they have put into the blog. However, other opportunities may arise that take priority over writing for snsdkorean (whether that be education, kpop/snsd related, work, or otherwise.) This is definitely not the first instance that a writer has left or been removed from the blog, and it won’t be the last.
If you know you’re leaving, can you do some kind of goodbye post so that people would know that you’re leaving? Disapearing suddenly is not in a good taste. Probably you don’t know (I didn’t know) that your sudden disappearance may dishearten your readers/viewers/commenters.

Hey there, some of us are probably aware of Zheming isn’t here anymore, some aren’t. I sure as hell didn’t expect his rather abrupt leave from a website I visit everyday. I’m sure that both you and I appreciate his hard work and effort which he has contributed to this site, and asking for nothing in return. I think that it’s best not to appeal to the writers of this blog for him to come back and write one more post to say his goodbyes to everyone he’s helped so far, because he’s already moved on with his own life and so have the rest of us. The blog is continuing on as it is regardless. I don’t know if you were taken by aback by his sudden disappearance, but time cures everything; It’s likely that he’ll never come back.
Since it was done discreetly, and we should exercise that too, those who aren’t aware are happy spazzing in posts chock full of whimsical SNSD-goodness. Some of ’em might miss Zheming if he were to write his last goodbyes, so let’s not ruin their fun. Either way, like I’ve said before: Time cures everything.

im asking because i’m pretty confident i know WHERE one of the items is but i’ve found more than one item that satisfies the clues. also are ALL items actual things or like ideas or something of that sort .
they should be obvious but sometimes maybe our clues are a little harder for some people. if you find more than one item that satisfies the clue, id relook the hints 🙂 they should be pretty obvious.
and the items are actual things that can range from (and im not saying they are these things) – photoshopped memebers in somewhere that we’ve done in the past, removed a member, finding a picture, etc etc.

read a rumor that the girls are set to release a major CF deal in japan and “gee” will be the theme song for it. also, a possible japanese album/single might be on its way, as seeing SM/SNSD camp have been very quiet lately :). hoping all of it is true!
hey guys, maybe you should have a nearer deadline that way it’s ALSO fair for the people who found the items in a quick manner. at least a day or two, maybe just a day, after the last clue as the deadline is sufficient because pretty much everyone around the world would’ve received the clues and had time to find the items. plus people could be sharing answers because it’s no longer a first email winner type thing and by the 20th it definitely will be just like a random drawing of emails with all the same answers rather than an actual scavenger hunt. i don’t wanna sound rude or anything; you guys are doing a great job! however the 20th is definitely way too much time. it becomes more of a lottery type thing rather than a scavenger hunt using skill and snsd knowledge. so it might be better to either have a closer deadline or just take the first like 20 people or something and do the drawing from THOSE people. and in complete honesty, i found the items relatively quickly.

Hmm instead of moving the date on the scavenger hunt up, you could limit the draw to a pool of only the first 20 or 50 or however many correct submissions… just a thought, I know it’s too late now.

“Gee” and “Genie” are both certified GOLD by RIAJ via PC download…i’m not exactly sure what this means. probably the whole album are both downloaded through the internet or used as a background music for japanese computers. Since “Gee” is already platinum via Chaku-Uta (full song download via cell phone), it probably means the song was downloaded via computer in a separate category.

depends how popular it gets.. some videos in the past have been a huge hit in korea, such as codemonmon’s IRIS x SNSD Oh! parody, but that’s a rare case. it never hurts to try, and even if it doesn’t get published in Korea, it will still be there for fans to enjoy.

it’s not up to snsd to do tours. It is their head company SM entertainment that makes these decisions. The short answer is, it’s all about money.
The long answer? if there is no headway for SM to make alot of profit from particular countries what’s the point in flying over there, hiring out an expensive venue and charging tickets and practicing for a concert? SM is ultimately about making money, it’s a business after all, so unless a country has a giant indication that SM will profit sending the girls over, it probably won’t happen. Fat chance that soshi will ever come down to Australia, am I annoyed? yes, but a business is a business and SM won’t make any money if they come down here to where I am, and other countries are a better option than Australia, so we have to get in line, and that line is looooooooonnnnggg….
SM have done a concert in the US, in LA if I’m not mistaken, so at least the US has a bigger shot than some other unlucky countries, and I’m sure SM may do it in the US again.

I just wanna reminisce this, and I think a lot of SONES had actually seen this multiple times, but for me, this is the first time i actually sat and watched the whole routine. I can’t believe how hair raising Jessica/Taeyeon’s adlibs in this “Genie” version, this one really puts a whole new twists to the song. I actually wished that SM had released this version rather than the version that we already know. Don’t get me wrong I love the current “Genie” but this one put a whole new light to this song. I wish that SM actually added this to the japanese “Genie” as well. Or at least release this version officially 🙂
