Topping the foreign charts

SM entertainment have revealed that SNSD have gotten the top spot in the charts in many countries, most notably Thailand, Taiwan and the Phillipines.

Thailand – released March 9th, rank #1 for 3 weeks on [V]TV
Taiwan – released March 12th, rank #1, sweeping music charts
Phillippines – released March 19th, rank #1 in Odyssey and Music One

Let that sink in….Star King still aired on April 3rd despite many shows being cancelled and apart of Yoona, Jessica and Yuri join the fray. two very short cuts are out including said kiss. don’t freak out too bad.

World & Domestic Domination continues.

As you may have read earlier about SNSD”s domination in the Philippines, they have now also taken over the cover of a recent issue of Malaysian magazine YG. Pictures of the magazine appears to feature an article of SNSD, along with some more Super Generation love from the SPAO photoshoot. On another note regarding foreign domination, the Shanghai ITNW seating arrangements has been released.

It’s been confirmed that the girls’ concert in Thailand is 3 July. The venue is Impact Arena. PLATINUM MARKETIING AND DISTRIBUTION CO., LTD is the organizer. In the news, they also mentioned the ticket presale date which will be around mid of April. However, there’re no exact date confirmed. Let’s wait and be ready for the coming press… Impact Arena is the biggest indoor stadium (12000-seat hall) in Thailand that is always held an important event and concerts of those international and very popular artists.

At home, with Rain (Bi)’s recent album release, it was expected that there would be heavy competition in Korea in the next few weeks. Rain’s ‘Back to the Basic’ captured first place on music charts for a while, and then RDR took over…again.

MuCore Cancellation

Well, we all knew about this already. Due to the South Korean naval ship, Cheonan, sinking, the weekend music programs have all been cancelled. Sadly, there is more to this than not being able to see our girls perform Run Devil Run.

Almost one year ago, Yuri and Fany were brought onboard to the Show! Music Core team. To be exact, they were brought onto the show on April 4th. Mucore would have aired on April 3rd, marking their 1 year anniversary. Some of you may not see this as a big deal, but just imagining how Yul and Fany must feel, I feel this is worth the post. On a related note, let us all pray for the sailors who bravely served their country and  have lost their lives out at sea, and pray that our Yul and Fany are emotionally well.
