Yesterday Korean fans were talking about how the singer for SBS‘s new logo song sounds awfully like SNSD Jessica… well she is. It’s confirmed that all nine members of SNSD sang for SBS new logo song. I’d say that I’m kind of surprised. Correct me if I’m wrong, but among the big three Korean TV networks (KBS, SBS, and MBC), all this time it seems like SNSD makes least appearances on SBS. Like I wouldn’t be surprised at all if it was MBC, you know… But anyway, good for the girls and SBS I guess. 😀

According to an article in Daum, there will be 15 sec, 20 sec, and 30 sec versions of the song. There will also be a rock version and a choir version of the song. As for now, there’s only a preview for the song (or was it the 15 seconds ver?). In this clip I can only hear Jessica and… Seohyun, I think. Can’t wait for the long versions!

SBS is going to be the new MBC. Not really surprised though, since SM gave into SBS and agreed to have Yoona on FO.

The reason you might have found it rude is in the way the sentence is phrased. I’m def not insulting anyone’s english but the writer is from Indonesia so the way her wording comes off might sound rude to some but to her/others, it isn’t.
Because of the words sounds “awfully like Jessica”? In this context, it means the voice is exactly, undoubtedly similar to Jessica’s voice 🙂 [I dunno if it’s the real meaning as interpreted by English native speaker, but that’s what I understood, coming from SEA region, like the writer^^]

When someone says something is awfully like something else it means they are similar to a great degree. It’s a common phrase. SNSD just misunderstood.
