Yoona, a member of popular idol group SNSD, confessed that she prefers older men over younger men.
On KBS 2TV’s ‘Shin Dongyup & Shin Bongsun’s Champagne’ that was broadcasted on the 22nd, Yoona of SNSD was a guest and she confessed that she prefers older men over younger men. She also revealed that she is fine with men up to five years older than her.
MC Shin Dongyup asked Yoona, “Do you like older or younger men?” To this, Yoona answered, “I… older men” and then shyly laughed. The MCs then asked, “How much older is OK with you?” Yoona responded by saying, “Up to five years older is fine with me.”
Yoona revealed that she had been ‘hunted’ a month ago. “I was returning home from the beauty salon with no makeup on and in comfortable clothes. A male approached me with his cell phone out and asked for my number.”
Yoona then said, “I thanked him and then declined after courteously apologizing to him.”
This broadcast of ‘Shin Dongyup & Shin Bongsun’s Champagne’ had Yoona, No Sahyeon, Choi Hwajung, Kim Youngchul, and Lee Hongki as guests.
Well, i guess everyone has their own preferences right? Doesnt surpise me that much that Yoona likes men 5 years older then her, that seems kinda average anyway. Though still found it interesting (isnt everything about them interesting?) Enjoy!

aw. that’s nice. i think a lot of girls prefer guys that are older than them. younger guys are usually immature with only a few exceptions.
I think it’s typical for girls to like older men, and older men to like younger girls. Perhaps it’s a maturity thing.
Nicole Jung said the same thing on SGB — 5 to 6 years older than her (but, she added: tall). There’s only a couple years difference between her and Yoona so they might be in competition for the same men. Yoona may be prettier, but Nicole is cute and lotsa fun — and she speaks English.

BTW, regarding the age factor, think back to primitive times when life was brief and brutal. Who had a better chance of survival: The girls who preferred a young man her age? Or those who preferred one a little more experienced (yet still healthy)?
And for men, whose offspring had the better chance of being born and cared for (keeping in mind that life expectancy was extremely short): Those who preferred older women? Or who preferred younger women?
The human species may not have been around if it weren’t for those preferences. When I hear lonely older women grouse about the maturity level of men who generally prefer young women, it sounds to me like sour grapes. Yet even older women will often agree that girls in their late teens and twenties are at their most beautiful.

Her decision is definitely justifiable. Guys simply mature more slowly than women. Of course it breaks the protective lining on my heart, as I prefer older women, but I can’t disagree with Yoona or other females for that matter.
If we’re looking through history, consider the Middle Ages, in which 18+ year old guys married 14 year old girls. Nothing to do with mental maturity, but more that the sooner the baby factory could be opened for business, the better. However, I don’t think that quite the same principle has been adopted today.
