SNSD and Kara both jokingly expressed their discontent at their managers for liking the other girl groups.
During MBC’s “Come to Play” recording set to air on the 23th, Korea’s 7 representative idol male groups such as Tohoshinki and Big Bang chose Kara’s Gu Hara as the teenage girl they liked deep in their hearts. After hearing the news, Gu Hara commented, “I was hoping that SNSD’s Seohyun wasn’t one of the chosen (as the teenage girls that the male idols liked). Our manager likes her a lot recently.”
To this, SNSD’s Sunny then shot back, “Our manager likes Kara’s Nicole a lot too,” causing the whole studio to erupt into laughter.
SNSD’s Sooyoung followed up by grumbling, “Not too long ago when Kara won 1st, our manager was so happy that he cried. I really couldn’t stand him then.”
Meanwhile, MBC’s “Come to Play” is set to air on the night of the 23th at 11.05pm.

I love how these two girl groups can openly joke around with each other 🙂 All good humor.
LOL, it’s funny how snsd’s manager cried when Kara won first. Oh goodness 😛
LOL!!
The phrasing regarding SeoHyun — “Our manager likes her a lot recently” — probably reveals the effect she’s had since her recent blossoming from the a cute kid she was before.
How come few seem to appreciate Gyuri? IMO, she’s one of the beauties of KPop (altho SeoHyun pretty much puts them all in the shade).
lol. aw. so cute how they’re joking with each other.
SNSD + KARA = love.
Yo, Gyuri has always been exotic looking. I love her. Esp in long hair xD

>> Esp in long hair <<
Definitely. She was much prettier in the group’s first year.
For the life of me, I can’t see what Korean’s see that make them assume she’s mixed. Yet, I haven’t heard any Koreans comment on JiYeon/Lina’s looks.
Seriously? You don’t think she looks exotic? I think Lina, Sunghee (at times), and even JeNy looks exotic. KARA I ❤
Sometimes Yuri and SooYoung don’t even look Korean lol.

>>You don’t think [Gyuri] looks exotic?<<
Yeah. Under certain conditions, Gyuri looks American Indian to me (I’m half).
Sunghee looks mixed to me.
As I’ve said before, SooYoung would fit right into my family.
^ I don’t know, sometimes they all look either mixed with European blood or American blood.
Yuri and SooYoung (SooYoung especially) look Thai or Filipina haha

I don’t live among Koreans so I can’t get a sense of what they generally look like and I can’t tell them apart from Chinese and Japanese.
My first impression of SNSD and other KPop groups was “lotsa Asians!”. As I become more famliar with them, then I began to notice differences.
However, a few stood out immediately as different: SungHee, for instance, looks mixed Asian-Caucasian. JiYeon struck me as Filipina (I’m a quarter Filipino, quarter Japanese). SooYoung’s round, fleshier face (like my family’s) is very different from the other girl’s oval shapes.
^ I dunno, I think in this day and age, Asians are starting to look more and more mixed. I mean, I’m Filipino but because of a few drops of Chinese and Spaniard; I’m light in complexion, my eyes are thin, and my hair is wavy. I’ve always said the Filipinos were the mutts of Asia.
I’ll be honest, I had this whole conspiracy that LMS/SME only took Asians from America so he could lie and just say those Asians are Korean with bad hangul (i.e. Tiffany xD).
I can usually tell Koreans, Chinese, and Japanese celebrities apart. In terms of real life people, I’m 60/40.
JiYeon from After School? I thought Behka from After School looked more Filipina. And I agree about Sooyoung, but hey, her sister looks Korean at least.
Back to Gyuri, I think she looks Euro mixed, maybe a latin mix (Spaniard, Argentinian, Brazilian- light-skinned latins).

Hmmm… I wonder if non-Koreans have sneaked tru the auditions.
Also, I think that — like Bollywood where those with mixed features are becoming dominant — those who tend towards a certain look may be given an advantage in Korean entertainment agencies such as SME. They don’thave to necessarily be genetically mixed cuz features run the gamut naturally.
JiYeon of “Isak N JiYeon” = Lina of “The Grace”. (Whatever she is, she gorgeous, isn’t she?)
These people need to get their biographies published. With their DNA profiles!
^Agreed!
I would like to think so… I mean, why else would they only ask for Asians? They might as well have just asked for Koreans if they weren’t trying to hide anything.
Ahhh, you have a point. I think the Asian Ent Industry is starting to like that whole “mixed” and exotic look. Before, it was usually the more Asian you were, the better. I guess not so much anymore now that Asia’s music industry is very much influenced by other countries’ music culture.
Ah, I keep forgetting Lina’s name is JiYeon. But yes, she definitely looks mixed! Speaking of CSJH, Stephanie looks chinese or filipina because of her dark complexion that isn’t like yuri’s or sooyoung’s… It’s more… tan rather than dark? I dunno lol
people say that I look like sooyoung ALL the time it’s so annoying…
but meh she’s got a HOT body^^V
it`s DONGBANGSHINGI in korea, not tohoshinki
“it`s DONGBANGSHINGI in korea, not tohoshinki”
Well, i’m sure most DBSK fans (esp the fanatics, like my sister) know that Tohoshinki is the japanese name for Dongbangshingi =)
