As most of you know, I used to work for the guys at Allkpop who are (for the most part) SNSD lovers. Some of the news and translated goodies also come from Allkpop. They bring a lot of love to SM Entertainment cept for SuJu haha so it’s time for fans to give some love back to both AKP and SME!

This post has nothing to do with SNSD (unless all funds go towards the ‘FEED SNSD’ campaign :D) but being that all the girls are big fans of their BoA eonie and want to see her succeed, it’s time for you guys to help the Pop Princess out! I’m sure most of you are already well informed about this awesome breakthrough happening on March 17th, so it’s time to act now. Remember, pre-ordered prices are cheaper than when items are already on sale/available.

But wait, before you turn away just because you may have to spend a few dollars- listen to what I have to say. BoA’s been working her ass off since she was 11 and now the time has come to try and earn her spot in the American Entertainment/Music Industry. Not only will you be supporting a fellow SM artist, but you are also participating in a contest! Allkpop is giving away 150 SIGNED CDs and 50 Behind the Scene DVDs (that you can’t purchase in stores).

So think about it this way:  You’re helping BoA out, SNSD, SM Entertainment, Allkpop, and me. I want to see her in concert here, dammit!

Owner and founder of Allkpop, Johnny, answered a few questions of mine (that others have been wondering about).

The DVD that Soompi, AKP, and Ningin are giving away as prizes will most likely not be the one that you can purchase off of YesAsia.
After self-purchasing the 150 give away CDs to be signed by BoA herself, he has gathered some information. Johnny is working closely with SM Entertainment’s staff and gave as much info as he’s allowed to. As far as he knows, the DVD is just a “promotionary” item; will not be sold as it’s behind the scenes work. Sorry guys! So you can only catch this limited DVD if you win the contest.
HOWEVER, if there is a great response from those who received the DVD, SM Entertainment will most likely start selling it “if they can capitalize on it”.

I hope that answered the DVD confusion because I definitely know which one I’m aiming to win for
Promotional item or not, I was still going to make a separate purchase on YA for the 2CD+2DVD. Support!

On a side note, I’m happy that a site like AKP is helping by actually purchasing the CDs they are giving away. Unlike other give aways that most sites do that usually receive the give away items for free as gifts, they purchased it on amazon first and will get it signed. Which I can find believable because the shipping to the winners of the signed CDs are 6-8 weeks after release. This can definitely is going to help in charts! Every little bit counts. I also think it’s quite smart for the sites to be running the contest this way. Only true supporters (consumers) should be rewarded with a prize, right?
