Nam Gyu Ri, “Let’s comfort Girls’ Generation after the ‘Silent Treatment'”

Nam Gyu Ri(23) of the group “SeeYa” showed her love and adoration for Girls’ Generation.

During an interview with MyDaily on the 23rd, Nam Gyu Ri showed her love for the girls of Girls’ Generation saying that she, “had met the girls on many occasions and had even met with them for tea outside of work.”

When Girls’ Generation faced many hardships such as the “Girls’ Generation Silent Treatment” incident at the Dream Concert in early June, Nam Gyu Ri was by their side giving them her support.

Girls’ Generation who were dealing with a “boycott” by fans of other idol groups (Super Junior, SS501, etc.) at the time, had to endure a 10 minute silence from the crowd during their performance.

Gyu Ri empathized saying, “Being a singer myself, I can imagine how disappointing and heartbreaking it must have been for them to perform in front of a silent crowd. Being as busy as they are with their hectic schedules, an incident like that must have been such an emotional and mental strain.”

“Just think of it as a part of the process,” is the advice Gyu Ri gave each of the members of Girls’ Generation, saying, “Getting too hung up on the past will only keep you from moving forward, so just try harder.”

The words of wisdom come from first hand experience for Nam Gyu Ri, who also had to endure many hardships such as rumors and anti-fans during the first two years of her career. She added, “But with time, the sting of past upsetting incidents fade and you are able to look past new ones with a more laid back attitude.”

Currently Nam Gyu Ri awaits the August 7th release of the movie where she will make her debut as an actor.
