SNSD’s music provides a little something to suit everyone’s musical tastes and needs. Fans of funky dance tracks, irresistible pop beats and bittersweet ballads all find common ground where these nine girls are concerned. And virtually every other genre is showcased not necessarily on albums but through countless covers.
So where do fans of traditional music stand? More specifically Pansori, a Korean form involving one vocalist and one percussionist telling a story through song. Well those fans will have something to fantasize about now, at least, as top Korean traditional music educator Ahn Sookseon admitted during a broadcast of KBS 2TV’s ‘Free Time’ that she would like to work with SNSD.
