To kick off the HyoBday week, let’s start with post number 1!
WHO IS HYOYEON?
When SNSD first began, people said Hyo wasn’t popular because she didn’t have enough limelight.. but I disagree. Infact, out of the group, aside from short-haired Fany, I think Hyo was the most stand-offish one with her blonde locks and power dancing solos.
As the hardest dancer of the group, she took on that tough-image role… but as SNSD’s promotion went on, it was clear that keeping that image was hard with songs like “Kissing You” “Baby Baby” “Gee” perhaps even in “HimNae” and “Dear Mom”. Luckily, this image wasn’t the REAL HER. The hardcore-tough girl side felt more like some SM gimmick, as we saw through many shows off-stage, Hyo is actually quite the girly girl… with a fierce side to her when she’s dancing.
Really she’s a girly girl who likes dress up and do aegyo:
Aside from being a girly girl, Hyo is known as one of the mother figures of the group. She wakes up first and cooks breakfast for girls. Infact, she’s sharing a room with maknae right now.. taking care of her.
Remember long long time ago, everyone says that Hyo and Sica didn’t get along due to that ONE INCIDENT in ‘SNSD goes to School of Rock’ show? Well here’s a funny clip from ‘Oh” MV that plays on that incident, what a tough dancing-mommy-leader of the group! (And yes, Yusica fans are going to love this because we see Yuri defending sica… but shhh this is all about Hyo!)
Moving along… through the girls group special, we found out that Hyo is actually a “Bolt” aka super speedy runner. Which is why in one of the introductory segments of SNSD on one of the new Japanese Show, Hyo’s “talents” are listed as dancing and sports.
On another note, I think ALL our girls have that weird quirky side to them that makes them loveable. There’s (big)eating goddesses SooYoung+Yuri+YoonA, Konglish-Fany, Kid-Like Tae, Aeygo Sunny, “innocent” SeoBaby and Ice Princess Sica… so why would Hyo be anything different?
So never ever forget about Hyo.. regardless of what other people say or her ‘rank’ in the group, I think she’s totally jiaaanggg~!

A very meaningful and thoughtful statement for Hyo Yeon. Let us all continue supporting Soshi even if we like one more than the other. As long as they are together I’m pretty sure all of us will be happy no matter what. Early happy birthday to our SNSD dancing queen and keep it coming staff for the oh-so-tiring-posting-for-birthday-week!

i dont know if you guys ever featured this on here but there’s this song called as time goes by performed by hyo sunny and yuri you could maybe feature. and some singing compliations of her voice. and some funny cuts of hyo. i just though it would be interesting so that people could know how hyo really sounds like and how funny she is.

That’s a great idea! I actually thought about compiling a post of Hyo Singing, but I went with this one because I wanted to cover a wider variety :). Maybe another staff can do that post or if I have time, I’ll work on one!
Oh, and there was a radio show (PKL’s?) post we made a while ago, it featured a radio show where it showcased alot of ‘witty’ Hyo, you can go check it out there :

Actually I’d never paid much attention to HyoYeon amongst the Girls. (My Bad, I was totally wrong!!). I was proven to be an arse for not paying attention to her!! She got talent!! She is never the anything close to those “articles” about Hyo being ranks the last!! GOSH!! Wat are these people thinking, just because that you see her lesser on shows & etc, does not give anyone the rights to write such articles or spread such news!!
If you seen her perform, shows that SNSD attended (Hyo’s in it), u will be knocked over by her Charisma when she performs!!!
MAN!!! She can really DANCE, PLAY, RUN!! Her Energy level is known to be unmatched!! I was soo wrong for not paying any attention to Hyo!! From now on, My love & support for the Girls will be equal!! Let all the Girls, (Especially Hyo, Sunny, Tae) have all the love & support that I can give!!…..

Hyoyeon was actually one of the first I noticed in SNSD. She had that blonde hair and everything (I kinda want her to go back with that hair style, looks legit).
