there may be many fanclubs but it takes lots of money to have a concert in a particular area, for SM entertainment they need to be sure that they will get profit from it. and just because there are alot of fanclubs, it’s not certain that they will buy a ticket for a concert, especially when tickets run for more than $150 US each. SM are looking for profit and don’t want to waste time if it is not certain they will get a huge payout

hey, just a little show of support, as far as it goes. You’d think that one guy only found out about the internet last week, the thing’s he’s talking about. You think he he sees two different newspapers being sold on the street and he goes all “wtf? these guys are plagiarizing each other!” I mean, I read the newspaper (uh, no! I go to, like, a newsy website!), I don’t keep personal tabs on different reporter friends and ask them to tell me everything they learn. i sorta want to go and re-read it all and address it directly, but I’m sure you all know how this sort of thing goes. And besides, I was born with the magical and amusing ability to feel worse about things than do the people directly involved, so I’m hoping that’s true this time too and that you’ll deal with it in your way, but get over it all well enough.
After all, I’m sure most of your visitors come here because it’s so damn easy to keep up with everything, like I dig Soshified and respect it as like, the quasi-official fansite, but it’s rather cumbersome as a source of information. And, like, yeah, it’s annoying that people out there are confrontational enough to actually like dealing with allkpop on a regular basis.
and as far as whoever it was that said y’all were writing less well, just because the subject came up – criticism has its place, sure, i’m more of a critic than a creator, but it’s terribly easy to notice things that one disagrees with and then to say “this is bad” or “this is good.” The problem with most people who criticize is that they consider less the burdens of creation – the vision of something to create, the impetus to create it, the work involved in the creation and the various demands (as of skill, patience, sacrifice, etc.) it places on the creator. And then a lot of people who criticize will just be dicks about it. But yeah, they just see something that has already been made and then form an opinion on it based on something so scant as their perspective of it. Opinions are okay, and the fair expression of them is okay, too, but it is always secondary to the act of creation. Yeah, it’s like people who talk shit about performers. I mean… you know?
But yeah, so often the expression of criticism is only a matter of the one criticizing trying to elevate him or herself (yeah, out of respect for the craft of proper criticism, or, like, critiquing, I’m going to continue with the verbal gymnastics, sorry – it’s just something I decided to do right now and not think more about). Deep down there is some reaction of having been one-upped, even if what has been made is something such a one never before considered. It’s what people approximate when they say things like “so and so is just jealous,” even though most often the use of that charge is just an act of dismissal. The one venting criticism is all “oh shit, here is something that has been created and not by me, and here it is for everyone to see – but if I cannot or will not create something like it, then I can still say this or that about it” and then of course, it is more self-serving to criticize a thing negatively – though again, one might criticize a thing in the positive and hope to associate him or herself with that positive thing, but that’s another story. The one offering negative criticism can aggrandize that one’s self by decrying said thing – for having such insight, for the “bravery” to contradict the admirers of the thing created, for all those things. We all think it makes us special to appreciate the things we appreciate, to notice the things we notice, and, yes, that’s a big part of what makes each of us quite who we are. But as is often said, what actually makes a thing better than another? There is something of a war of words going on out there, of intemperate people trying to monopolize the concept of what is good and bad, acceptable and not (I’m talking about internet flaming, or trolling, or whatever they call it now), and trying to force everyone to deal with them on their aggressive terms, so yeah, I applaud y’all for being gracious enough not to be dicks but being clear enough in decrying that kind of thing on your turf. The thing about communicating on the internet is that it’s hard to appreciate what isn’t said, isn’t shown. You can ignore a dog barking at you on the street, and it’ll be clear to an observer why. But on the internet, all we have are words on empty space, and it’s very difficult… well, I’m sure you see sarcasm or subtlety go unrecognized all the time.
But the bravery in the world lies mostly in the act of creation. I’m pretty sure on this level, you don’t, like, think of it quite that way, it’s just a thing you want to do and so you do it – but it is a more powerful act than that implies. Accept that you’ll make this or that mistake, or that not everything you do will be a paradigm of excellence, and certainly refer to your moral compass in an honest and clear way, but remember to believe in yourself and the things you do.
To get all cute with words, it’s “human be-ing,” not “human is.” Our living is in what we give to this world.
Like, all that said, yeah, the quality of the posts has been just damn depressing compared to 18 months ago…
yeah, a joke. ha-freakin’ ha, right? And, like, I didn’t know about this site or the Soshi before last May or so, so that’s, like, part of the joke, too right? Yeah, you guys have fun out there.

I think that readers, commentors by all means support, protect and love Soshi, but not necessarily support and depend on any one fansite.
And writers, staffers should support, protect, love, and work for the benefit of Soshi, but not necessarily overwork for the readers and commentors.
The outcome of doing something for Soshi will lead us to where Sones would want to be because both the readers and the writers will be facing the same direction, at Soshi .
And also, in regards to the assumed policy of this site (like normally not using Allkpop source due to its alleged anti-SNSD sentiments), the general popular fans (like Micheal Henry) should follow the standard that Sones (like Greeentee or Boss Lady) set, but not the other way around; not necessarily because they are the administrators, but because the long-term Sones know and care about Soshi more than the general popular fans do.
I hope the administrators would consider removing, maybe even temporarily, a commentor like Micheal Henry from this site in the future, and/or removing the comments he has made because sadly he couldn’t control his escalating negative temper and couldn’t be polite,(like when he said, ” The retards who run this site lol? ^.^ ” ),which would incite other people to react in a similar aggrssive way or would cause to bring out other unpleasant emotions. But if you wouldn’t, never mind.

I totally agree (i.e. temporarily, or otherwise, removing the blatantly offensive comments and blocking such commentators from the site) as it affects how the tone of the featured online thread will continue for the enjoyment of the rest of the SONES who frequent the site ;). Such behaviour only affects everybody and leaves all with a “bad taste in the mouth” π ! There are many fan-sites on the Web and everyone should have the freedom to “patronise” the ones that he/she feels comfortable with and not go around to impose their views on others, who are happy where they are :D. Please do that for the good of all concerned, for rudeness has no place in a “fun” site like this ;).

We removed Michael Henry from commenting on the blog. If he provided helpful criticism, we wouldn’t have minded. Hell, we even let the occasional anti-fan comment slip through. But there’s no point in having to maintain a troll, so we just banned him – simple and effective. It’s really really rare for us to ban anyone from commenting. Either way, he can go read other sites all he wants now, or he can lurk around here and read our ‘un-original’ content if he still wishes to do so.

This is what happens when you visit negative forums and read all of the comments on Youtube.
I find it weird that I never resort to skimming. It’s like saying that you’ll quick-scope when you’re actually aimly quickling in wideo games. You’re just reading it fast because you can, not ‘cos you’re skimming which brings to light that you’re intentionally avoding the undrelying fact. How it affects us depends.

I have seen a noticeable pick up of reporting speed and frequency since the “troll incident”, it could be just a coincidence of news happening frequently, but I just wanna say you don’t have to give in to outsider pressures on how you should run your blog. What you’ve been doing was perfectly fine. I was not inclined to argue with a fool on news reporting on plagerism when the he doesn’t even know what it means, so I gave up after my 3rd response. But what I had the biggest beef with was how he accused of SNSDKorean of using SNSD’s rising fame to boost its own popularity and agenda. What an outrageous accusation, none of the staff here seeks personal fame , the blog doesn’t make money off its traffic, and the purpose of the blog has always been about boosting SNSD’s reputation. I couldn’t believe a real SONE would make these accusations against a truly awesome SONE-oriented site like this, I guess there are always bad apples among us.

breaking news: supposedly, soshified peeps tweeted and SNSD is to released their japanese album this march 13. its possible that they might have recorded the lead single already since they have been looking extremely tired lately. besides the cf/cm deals, we haven’t heard any news about SoShi’s comeback but i guess SM’s been keeping it quiet to lessen the burden on the girls.

Decided to write this out of arbitrary reasons.
Being as objective as I can, what I’ve realized among my friends and the general audience out there is when discussing about music is they throw words like “suck” and “best” around liberally and those biases don’t address the strengths, weaknesses, acoustics or any other factors of a specific genre or musical individual(s). Depending on subtle variations in preferences it seems any particluar genre of music can be suited for a person’s circumstances.
I’d like to thank anyone who’s able to give an accurate and detailed analysis on this matter. I could, but I’m afraid I might overlook key factors when extrapolating given information from a senario or elongate it beyond the point where it makes sense to anybody. So… Yea.

i read a really annoying article written by a japanese news article called “Real Live.” according to them SNSD may also disband…they used examples such as the girls’ have issues with one another about their age and schooling. and the two americans in the group have a superiority complex when it comes getting along with each other.
fans all over were FURIOUS after hearing about the article. to be honest, i kind of LOL because we all know how close SNSD is with each other. its also not a secret that the girls’ relationship isn’t always perfect and that they do argue from time to time (which is normal), but those accusations by that japanese weekly magazine are all unfounded. i think its just a backlash against the hallyuwave because more and more kpop acts are heading to japan.

It appears the “Questions/Comments” section is slowly transitioning into a “Social Lounge” area, while still remaining true to its original and intended purpose: Ask questions, give comments and have them tended to.
It’s kind of weird revealing personal thoughts on the internet when you’re already aware of the responses you’ll elicit.
Does it make sense to think that I’m inferior? Especially in the eyes of RagingXL? Since there was a dispute which had a potential to cause a rift in our “Friendship”.
Kenneth is pretty much the one of the select few individuals who, no matter what in my entire life, I will never harbour any sort of negative thinking towards him. Even if he were to exhibit some of it to me, I wouldn’t really be affected too much.

Now to wax nostalgic? I hope you don’t mind if i use your words as a jumping off point again. “…aware of the responses…” and then you do it anyway. maybe you’re hoping you’ll be surprised. or maybe you think there’s some good reason for doing it. maybe, it’s just you fighting for your own space in the world, and for the right to be yourself in a world that repeatedly tells you to be that and then hates you for it. you know there’s a balance between yourself and others, but you’re just never really sure of where that is. or maybe sometimes one just forgets.
But them. They sing. Maybe my favorite SNSD thing is when Tiffany sang that Bleeding Love song. And then there’s that one part, where Sooyoung’s like staring at apparently nothing, and that’s sorta the same look on her face on their Byul Byul (Byul) perf when Tiffany sings the verse part. And speaking of that song, 1 2 3 and 1 2 3, right? It’s a funny world.

Fantastic day I’m having to say that I’m concerned over what others think, then again…
If it’s my role on this blog to be despised because of how I disagree with you or conjure up irrational comments, tell me so, then I’ll change.
Perhaps I’m looking in the wrong area or trying too hard, or I’m going back to my old roots, which I’m making an attempt to stop.
It’s funny how some of the reasons you come up with reflect only a little of my intentions, yet they explain so much.
Wonderful world we’re living in, when everybody is so critical beyond a comprehensible extent. Maybe they’ll help, maybe they won’t.
I’m doing the exact thing as you, perhaps in a way we have previously dealt with others in the physical realm of reality. Guess the generation gap thing or misunderstanding of a person’s life concerning what they’re going through is one of a few variables in play here.

Okay, okay, I’ll be honest and clear with you for once. For a little while. But I trip out over how much your interpretations or intentions, stuff like that, remind me of myself, especially myself from a few years ago. And the hope is that you won’t find yourself in some of the same pitfalls in which I found myself, but it’s not like I’m gonna tell you how to live. So I get a little dismayed at some of your reactions. But I get a little amused, too, because one difference between us seems to be our relative levels of interest in the absurd. Brain is fresh, had a awesome gaming session with my friends online yesterday. So I’ll make this my last post.
Okay, since I’m quite happy now, are you a little bit worried that I’ll go down the same “pitfalls” which you’ve found yourself in since I remind you of yourself a few years back? Rest assured, I don’t necessarily think of how you are in real life based on the way you write on the internet. Nor do I have plans of intentionally screwing myself up, that’s what a conscience and friends are for.
Do you get dismayed at my reactions because you were anticipating the obvious but still get a knack out of what I write instead as a result of the “difference between us seems to be our relative levels of interest in the absurd?” Then again, assuming is the opposite of expecting, so it’s natural to get disappointed a little.
There seems to some sort of misunderstanding between the both of us and I’m glad that you and I gave at least a few personal reasons for acting so, now we can surely clear this up. While it may not be a adequate response, as least it’s a satisfying start on the right track back to normal conversations between each other, perhaps even a so-called “Friendship”.
Anyway, let’s leave this behind on focus on the future, Taeyeon’s birthday is coming up, let’s wish her one she’ll never forget.

While everyone has their own personal opinions regarding the vocal strengths/rankings of SNSD. The vocal line has always been considered to comprise of Taeyeon, Jessica, Tiffany, Seohyun and Sunny. For example, they are the 5 that ‘represented’ SNSD on Music travel Lala
Yuri is considered to be the 2nd main dancer, after Hyoyeon. Eg, ITNW HyoRi dance break
Dance performances are usually done by Hyo, Yul, Yoong and Soo. (although they do tend to mix things up a lot now)
Regarding a Japanese Ver. of Oh!… quoting my previous comment on another page… π

i hate to ask this question right now given the situation is right now in japan. but do you think that SM/UMJ will postpone Mr. Taxi until further notice because of the disaster? japan is still unstable as far as after shocks and tsunami warnings are at this point and time. but the damage is too great for it to just be cleaned up in a months time, do you think by next month is japan going to be okay to continue going back to normal? i kind of have doubts because its a HUGE natural disaster, and i don’t know whether they still wanna continue to do any activities in the country. i think i wouldn’t mind if SM/UMJ postpone until the japanese people can get back to normalcy.

I doubt it, you have to remember Japan is a big place and only the North East is badly affected, Tokyo is still calm and safe. Japan is ready for the earthquakes, so the aftershocks to them are nothing. The Tsunami in the N/E caused majority of the damage and is a huge disaster yes.

tokyo is affected just like sendai btw: tokyo disneyland was affected by the tsunami as well (there are fancams from tokyo disneyland employees). tokyo residents have said, that there are damages around the greater tokyo area and after shocks are still felt in the country from time to time. i wouldn’t mind if SM/UMJ postpone the release of mr. taxi, i think japan and the japanese are still in a state of shock until they can finally say the country is stable.

you guys i was reading the english translations of SNSD’s photoshoot interview on SPUR magazine, and something interesting caught my eye and i’m sure you guys would think some thing of it too, lol :). anyways, they asked each members about random stuff about each other like fashion, style, food, etc. they then asked each members about what their favourite japanese word or phrase is. sunny then said: “Kokoro kara anata wo omou: Iβm thinking about you from the bottom of my heart. Itβs my favorite part in the lyrics.” could it be that this is one of the lines for Mr. Taxi? anyways, the girls have in the past gave hints and clues through their performance about their upcoming activities and such. don’t know whether sunny was referring to Mr. Taxi or another japanese lyrics, but she also didn’t name the song either. I guess we can say that what she said is INDEED the lyrics to Mr. Taxi.

I just wanna voice something, hope the moderators/writers of this site don’t take this offensively.
I’ve been visiting this site since last summer, and frankly I have become a fan. It not only is one of the sources for all things SNSD, its one of the least “anti” filled website for SNSD. But up until a couple of months ago, my posts has been repeatedly rejected by this website from posting on the comment section. I don’t remember ever having to offend or disrespect any of the people here nor this website, so I don’t see the reason why I can’t post any longer. Its like this site has blocked certain people from writing comments (but i’m not sure why). All of us here are all fans of SNSD, but I don’t know why I can’t post for 2 months now. I don’t even know, if my post will ever appear once I hit the “post comment” button?
I just wanna complain about that, I don’t know if this website if having technical problems, cause its ashamed that such a good source of SNSD website can block other fans from writing comments.

I have been researching ways to buy SNSD’s Japanese music digitally (can’t afford singles that cost more than $20). The first place I thought of was iTunes Japan, which sells their digital singles for 200 yen per song, so that’s the perfect and affordable way to support the girls in Japan. Problem is, our existing iTunes account is not allowed to purchase songs from iTunes Japan, unless the iTunes account was created with a credit card that has a Japanese billing address.
So far I haven’t bought any of their Japanese music since they’ve all been remakes, but with Mr.Taxi coming out soon, I really want to buy the song digitally and not download it illegally. So I want to ask all the knowledgeable SONEs and the admins here if you know any work-arounds to buy music from iTunes Japan. Thanks!

Need some tech-help here. I’ve attempted to search for help-websites to address my situation, but they didn’t really answer my question thoroughly.
For some weird reason, my computer cannot access this website at certain times of the day. I’ve tried restarting the computer a couple of times, but it always seems to go into some broadband link connection problem which I think is associated with the location of my computer terminal.
What’s even more perplexing is that my roommate Dave’s laptop works perfectly fine when accessing the internet and especially this website, though I have mistakenly and rashly commented as him sometimes without realizing it. Considering the low frequency range affecting my room, I’ve found it bewildering since adjacent rooms have a perfect frequency range in order to connect to the internet. It’s as if his laptop is immune to the effects.
I’m answering now while the internet is still up and running, any help? It’s only affecting a few websites though. Google is working perfectly fine, but it’s this site and Youtube which I can’t access. I’ve made a few comments in the past where I was under the impression that it would get through, but to no avail.

Note: Clearing the cache or refreshing the page does help a little before the computer freezes and I have to manually turn off the power supply. Possibly damaging my computer even further.

Hi Terra,
I had the same problem when the WordPress site was hit by DDoS attacks from Mainland China hackers and they had to put up on-line site “blocks” while they sorted out the problem. One solution the site adminstrators suggested was using Firefox as the default search engine for accessing this site. Alternatively, try getting your Internet service provider to re-set your IP address to solve the problem ;). Hope this bit of information helps π ! Cheers !

Just thought I should share this, probably deserves a post, 300 ajummas in Korea were surveyed, 6 of the girls placed in the top 30 for individual idols with two of the top 3 spots taken by #1 Yoona and #3 Yuri, and SNSD came out as the #1 group.

Looks like the survey required a large amount of work, physically walking around and asking Ahjummas’ which Korean celebrities they idolize. Tedious indeed.
Nevertheless, it was fun to watch. Although it came as almost no surprise, however.

Hye guys,there was bullshit person made fun of tiffany and her dead mother and post it at youtube and blog..it caused anger among sones now..i was really mad and hurt by what he/she wrote about fany and her late mother..it was really rude,direspectful and how on earth this person is ever exist..i really cant stand..since im sone..i want to share my feeling with u fellow sones..lets us hope fany wont see it because it was really terrible terrible..fany and the girls didnt deserve this..

I absolutely agree with Boss Lady here; I won’t even search for the posted video link on Youtube or give the poster of such drivel my attention or time for that matter π¦ ! Tiffany is one of the strongest persons that I know of and I’m sure that even if she were to accidentally come across the posted video, although it’ll definitely re-open old “wounds” and memories for her, with her level of maturity and the Love of Christ to sustain her, she’ll surely get over it ;). Besides, she has 8 other wonderful “sisters” and “angels” to help her get over all the hurt that the world can “throw” at her π π π !!! Tiffany JJANG !!! SNSD HWAITING !!!

well..you’ve sort of fallen into their trap there….they make those posts because they want everyone to read it. There are sites that are dedicated to being an anti-sone, and these people will always exist, you can’t kill hate.
And bringing it to everyone’s attention doesn’t help, you’ve basically told everyone to go read it, being a celebrity means that with the praise also comes just as much bashing, it isn’t good but it’s something that’s bound to happen. I honestly doubt this has affected Tiffany that much even if she reads it, cause stuff like this goes on all the time, ever since her debut.
The worst you can do is go tell everyone about it, as boss lady says, just move on, if nobody cared, then the person doing the shouting will lose their voice. Think about this, if you didn’t write the post here, none of us would know about it, therefore none of us would care, doesn’t that make it better? U know fighting against hate is the good thing to do, but if the hate is never going to go away, then the better way is to just move on, can’t hurt us if we don’t care. And really…Tiffany is my bias…and I really…really…don’t care

Typical Ignorant and frivolous Singaporean behaviour with no regards to respect or any other core value. I can tell because of the remark:

I’m sure Kenneth and any other Singaporean reading this blog will understand without any trouble.
Where I’m currently residing, idiots like these can’t formulate any sort of coherent speech, or even come up with a rational retort. They’re pathetic, irrational, way more insignificant than any of us, lack the comprehension and independence to face reality and live on their own, respectively. Their minds are devoid of any form of mettle and filled to the brim with misguided thoughts, unlike us.
They always rely on other societal rejects like themselves to makes ends meet on a single day and mix with bad company as a group. Ultimately, that will be their downfall. To prevent facing reality under some falsehood or just for plain fun, they prey on us “normal people”, who’re living life better than them, in order to elicit an exasperated response from us for their puerile satisfaction.
Not referring to those who have the potential to change, letting this deter or affect us brings us down to their degenerative level. You must prove yourself strong to resist in any way possible. My method is blatantly obvious as stated before, gaming indifference. Letting these antis’ dwell in their own little world while we carry on life as per normal appears to be the message the SNSDKorean staff here are trying to convey to us readers, so I’ll leave it at that, as I’m sure they’ll be able to fill in the blanks. Or it already has been. (I dunno’, lol)
My cliche work here is done. Back to Crysis 2 for me.

as a sone I understand how you can get upset, but getting upset is not the answer, a better answer is just knowing that comments like those won’t falter your brain. Just keep in mind that anti comments want to be read and want to make people angry.
