If you recalled, in February of this year, the “All About Girls’ Generation ‘Paradise in Phuket'” DVD preview was released to the public and it was in the form of a photobook. Coming the end of June (June 30th~July 5th), the actual “All About Girls’ Generation ‘Paradise in Phuket'” DVD will finally be released.
The package is said to contain 6 DVDs (715 minutes long total in duration~12 hours) and a mini 44-page photo book. The content will include:

715 minutes of footage amounts to exactly 11 hours and 55 minutes. If arithmetic precision is utilized to convert 119.166667 (715 divided by 6) minutes into any figure of accurate measurement or unit of time, it averages to about 2 hours per DVD.
Perhaps I might be wrong, but some of the content shown to be included in those DVDs appears to have either been reused previously or old, while others are relatively new, unseen videos. I don’t know. Anyway, looks like this package and the mini photo-book will receive a lot of attention and interest from those who’re keen on purchasing them.
For once, I’m actually interested in the pricing of the package and its contents, but I guess we’re going to have to wait until more information gets released. As for Blu-ray, well, all I can say is that I don’t have a PS3.

i hope that there’s a region 1 available for purchase. the reason why i can’t buy the delux/limited editions of their stuff isn’t because i can’t afford it, its cause i have no use for the dvd cause won’t be able to play it in my dvd player :(.

There’s certain software that will negate region blocking on your computer. So you could always buy it and watch it on your computer.

I didn’t buy the First Press because I have no use for the special box or the mini-bag, that was not worth the extra $40 over the Deluxe Edition that I got. The DVD, surprisingly, is all-regions which will play in DVD players in America, it played on my PS3 and my computer.

i just checked YSA…and they only have it in region 3. and i know about this system were u can download things to ur laptop/pc but since my virus protection filter won’t allow me to download files that maybe harmful to my laptop, i won’t be able to have it. i think i’ll skip this DVD since i already have the photobook anyways…i’ll be looking out for fans who will uploaded the dvd on YT soon enough, lol!

That’s dumb of SM to release this only in region 3… any international fan outside of the region will not be able to play this. Good luck looking for people who will upload 700+ minutes of video onto YT… I’m still waiting for brave souls to upload three season of “All About Dong Bang Shin Ki” onto Youtube, people have uploaded bits and pieces, but no complete videos.

The PS3 and the Xbox 360 (which I own), are kind of outdated from a former PC gamer’s perspective, despite having current gen’ tech.
I use a standard Windows 6/Vista computer, and delivering videos in 1080p means the images are very realistic, clear and smooth.
But since I don’t own a modified gaming computer, I’m under the impression that gaming computers (I don’t know if Blu-ray is automatically installed with the hardware) will deliver 715 minutes of content chock full of SNSD goodness in better quality than unmodified computers with advanced graphic cards.

You will still need a blu-ray drive to play blu-ray disc… just like DVD drive, you need to buy it and install in your com.

I’m not really a gamer anymore, pretty much pulled myself out of it when I was in college. However I do still build and maintain my own computer, but nowadays it’s just geared towards videos, I have a BD-ROM and my big TV is hooked up to my video card. I rarely use my PS3 nowadays, only utilizing it to watch some movies on Blu-Ray or casual gaming. I try to watch all the videos on my TV so my demand for video quality is paramount, Youtube 1080p is not adequate and I have a large collection of .ts/.tp videos.

Do you own a Hauppauge HD PVR? It’s a device where you use it to record/capture (HQ) footage off of your HD capable television before being saved on the PVR as a raw file. It’s mostly used by video game commentators on YT like me to transfer the data from the PVR to the computer for editing. Then, it’s converted to 1080p on the computer itself before it’s uploaded on YT.
I don’t own one so I have no idea whether the device automatically converts the footage taken from the television into HD. However, I assume that the same principle in correctly using the PVR can be applied if you’re watching videos or movies. Like watching a movie in Blu-Ray on your PS3, recording it on the Hauppauge, then transferring it to your computer/laptop when you’re on the go.

I don’t have a HD PVR, I do hope to own one some day. But the only thing I’m interested in recording right now are music shows from Korea and Japan and I don’t get those channels on my TV. The only thing I get is KBS World which is broadcasted in standard definition (not worth recording).

While this DVD is Region 3 for Korea and most of SE Asia…
When/If the Blu-ray version is released, South Korea’s Blu-ray region code is shared not only by SE Asia, but all of North and South America as well (according to Wikipedia).

Ohhhh…. Around 75$ US, not too bad. But yeah, there’s the region code that I’m worried about too. Then again, by a DVD drive, set it to region 3. They’re not that expensive anymore. 😉
Also I hope its not as big as the gigantic picture book from last year. I don’t think that my shelf can take anything else that big. 😉

Okay, let’s consider this rationally. Ordered from YesAsia with Express shipping this set comes to $92.98 to the US mainland. That’s a mere $11 and change per disc, which rivals, I daresay, the DVD-offerings in the discount bin of any damned stupid Walmart. Accordingly, I don’t find any reason for not purchasing this set. Indeed, given the obvious steal offered with such a pricing, one might as well order BOTH the Korean DVD box and the (so-far-unannounced) Blu-Ray edition, as I myself plan to do, and thus pay proper tribute to that sublime eighteen-armed goddess known variously as “So Nyuh Shi Dae”, “SNSD”, “Shoujo Jidai”, and “Girls’ Generation”.

Hey guys, I just got this DVD set, I wanna ask if anyone else has this problem. My laptop can play the DVD included in the Mr.Taxi Album perfectly but it won’t read the DVDs from “All About Girls Generation”. Anyone have the same problem and anyone have the solution?

Do you have the regions set correctly? If I’m not wrong, the DVD that was included with Mr.Taxi’s release was a region 2 DVD, whereas All About SNSD is actually region 3.
