As it is, the girls barely get enough sleep. Even if they had a few hours of actual downtime for getting to know someone I doubt they’d spend it like that; they’re more likely to crash and catch up on some z’s for as long as they can before resuming their hectic schedules. Rest is key to a happy, healthy Soshi; boyfriends just aren’t a part of that equation.

ok…”Hoot” is currently at no. 7 on the oricon chart with 14,040 physical album sold as of today. so if my calculation is right then “Hoot” is now gold certified since its already exceeded the 100k+ album sale…I guess we are just waiting for the platinum to be achieve by the end of January. and to think, this isn’t even their first japanese album…its a korean repackage album! We need to let Girls Generation know that if they had an American tour there will be hundreds of fans coming to their concerts and supporting them. So letβs get as much people as we can to sign this petition.

a few netizens are suggesting that we can introduce SNSD to Ellen Degeneras as part of her international music appreciation. if you guys are interested we can send her show emails and music videos of SNSD’s songs…i think this is a great idea to have SNSD be more familiar here in the U.S., and not just through kpop lovers.

its pretty old actually, i think a year or so ago fans had talked about ellen’s international music thing and had suggested a hella good amount of times to bring snsd on but of course, didnt work out..least not yet π it’ll be hard but yeah.

maybe, some of the fans didn’t spazz enough about SNSD, lol! but it would be cool to give it a try…a few netizens are already working on it, but i think it lies within how you would wanna write about SNSD and get the reader excited by just simply the words. and of course, photos and music videos are a plus, since we live in a visual age. also, a good note to point out is the song selection. i know “Gee” would be the most obvious choice, but i think its better to have her pds broaden their horizon with strong songs…maybe the cutesy thing doesn’t appeal to them. possibly, RDR or Hoot would be a cool way to showcase their talents, and its back by their best choreography to date.

I’ve noticed a lot of the recent posts have been about our girls exposure to the world outside Korea
well I thought this might be another example!
I JUST got back from Korea (3 week trip), and on the flight I found out:
Korean Airlines offer the full “Run Devil Run” album and full “Hoot” album for listening!! (Korean Airlines = SONEs? lol)
Each seat has its own screen thing for movies, shows, music, etc. And in the music section, was no other than SNSD!
Great exposure of SNSD to foreigners and non-SONEs (yet, lol) flying to or from Korea!

SNSD fancafes are mostly on Daum and Naver, which you need Korean id numbers to make accounts on. There are temp accounts for non-Koreans on Daum but you can’t do much with them.
SNSD fancafes are basically Koreans only, sorry.

this is interesting…remember when the girls’ had a billboard picture in the middle of Shibuya 109. well, a fancam was taken and two of the girls’ costumes for “Genie” are out on display (kind of like a museum) in the front of the store. you can purchase similar outfits inside the store too!

YoonAddicts have wondered about Yoona’s mom for a long time, me included, as she never mentions her mom in any interviews nor have shown any photos of her with her mom. She must feel weird to be singing “Dear. Mom”. Are her parents divorced? Her mom seems to be pretty much out of the picture in her life.

It’s not a direct question to Yoona. It’s a question by a fan to other fans regarding information that the individual did not know.
It’s well known amongst sones that Tiffany’s mom has passed away. But if for example, a new fan that only heard rumors about such a thing wanted to know if what they heard was true, the question “Did Tiffany’s mom pass away?” is not completely irrational, and not something that needs to be hidden if the artist revealed it. In Yoona’s case, the difference is that the situation is not publicly known, but that is not something that the individual asking would know, otherwise they obviously wouldn’t be asking. While it’s a sensitive topic and perhaps the question could have been worded better, the question is valid.

Yes, it is a direct question to Yoona. Sound strange? This site can be viewed by everyone in the world including Yoona, her family members, friends and antis, all kinds of people. The question like that in a public domain can cause someone near her to pose the question to Yoona. So it’s the same as a direct question. My question is “do Sones want that to happen”? There is no right way of asking the question “is your ___ dead?” There are less intrusive ways but no matter what it’s going to be a personal question. Keep in mind that what’s important is what the reason behind the question is. Fans want to ask the question because they care to an extent and want to extend the hand of friendship to someone who might be bottling something inside.
It took Tiffany a long time to get over it, and though she might not get over it overnight, she has come a long way ever since she talked about her mum on TV. From not saying the word mum in soshi to talking about it and crying on chocolate all the way to now where she was able to show a photo of her mum on hahamong, I feel that some people are wondering if Yoona is feeling the same way and want to help in some way. Otherwise it’s just down to curiousity

quick update: “Hoot” is no. 9 on the oricon weekly album (went down 2 spots but still pretty good) with 7,751 pysical album sold as of today. Which sums up to 111K+ physical album sold in less than a month after its release. wow…”Hoot” is selling faster than “Genie” and “Gee.”

I’m from the L.A. area, I live close to where Fany grew up (Diamond Bar)…and that area is known for million dollar houses and such. It also has one of the largest concentrations of Korean/Asian community in L.A. (besides Wilshire where KoreaTown is located), so I wouldn’t be surprised if Fany comes from a wealthy background. Cause people who live in Diamond Bar or the Inland Empire area must have a very good profession to be able to afford a house in that area :).
