Girls’ Generation was acknowledged for their overwhelming success in the LA Times newspaper! The newspaper article highlights the ever-growing popularity of our girls in both Korea and the US, and provides an analysis of their song “The Boys”. As well, it shares a hilarious story of Tiffany’s reaction upon hearing the news that they would perform at the Late Show. The writer–shall I say–foretells the crossover of Kpop into American culture. You can find the article here.

Congratulations on your 1st post, snowpears!
The reporter must have only talked to Tiffany, or knew Jessica’s American roots (let alone that Sunny was born in the US too). Still, Tiffany’s brighter-than-mushrooms personality shines through even in print. I could just see her screaming OMG about the David Letterman gig, then have some of the other members react in a nonplused way.

why are american musicreporters so narrowminded they are not big in the USA only we talk about worldwide domination here 🙂
and he compare them to beatles and the rolling stones that are 50 year old news by now
i like tiffanys reaction though i can imagine that it is exciting to perform in her hometown
she left L.A to be a trainee in seoul and returns as a BIG popstar, thats worth celebrating 🙂
