Recently, Korean composer, PJ (박수종), revealed in a phone interview that he is currently working on the girls’ new song for their next Japanese album. PJ has been known to have worked with and compose for many well-known artists, including Wheesung, IU, Seo In Kook, and Japanese girl group, AKB48.
In particular, it was said that AKB48’s ‘Team-A’ single album that he worked on in the past rose to the top on Oricon album charts after the release and had over 700,000 album sales.
Below are some of the songs that PJ has composed:

Seo In Kook’s ‘My Baby U‘
AKB48’s ‘Kurumi to Dialogue’
The news has definitely garnered attention as many are anticipating his work. Who is excited hearing/reading that Shoujo Jidai’s new Japanese song is in the making? I am for sure; I can’t wait for a new original Japanese song since the girls have only released Japanese remakes up to this point.

personally, i started out listening to japanese groups, then when i heard korean kpop. japanese tunes seemed undesirable. so in my opinion, composer PJ better realise that this is the best korean group singing japanese songs while still being korean, and not a look-alike japanese wannabe. ok…ill probably have some yakuzas banging on my door now…

yeah! i remembered sunny said that soshi wanted the song “marshmallow” to be their song instead. so i guess the composer can create a song that is similar to marshmallow i guess… cant wait to hear it!

FINALLY! I’ve been waiting for a new Japanese tune from my unnies! I’m so excited. I can’t wait. I seriously CAN’T WAIT(I check every day for some news about them). What will the sound be like? What will be the concept? What will the pv be like? WHEN WILL IT COME OUT?!!! SNSD HWAITING!!!!!!

I actually liked Kurumi to Dialogue. I’m hoping/leaning for something like rdr or wake up. That’ll be cool and interesting 🙂

Well, TBH, I really dislike the composer’s works. I hope PJ realizes that this is SNSD we’re talking about, he better reach from inside himself the best that he could give 🙂 I hope it’s at least like or better than “My Baby U”… The other two were just… erm. Anyway, I pray this will be good! Girls fighting 😀

I dunno if it’s just me but it sounds like each song had a similar beat. That probably means that SNSD’s song is gonna be a happy fast-paced choppy poppy autotuned tune. I actually hope it goes through a similar route as Marshmellow cause I actually like that song.
