As previously reported, the ladies of Shoujo Jidai/ Girl’s Generation were invited to perform at Japan’s prestigious New Year’s Eve music festival, the ‘Kōhaku Uta Gassen‘. The event took place last night/year
, where Shoujo jidai performed their Japanese debut single, GENIE.
With ‘Kōhaku Uta Gassen’ literally meaning ‘Red and White Song battle‘, the format of the show obviously followed the format of a ‘Red Team VS White Team’ battle. Ladies were Red (akagumi), Gents were White (shirogumi) …. and the winner of the 62nd Kōhaku Uta Gassen was… *drumroll* THE RED TEAM! This was the first win for the Red team in 6 years… i’m sure Tiffany’s “Akagumi… Put it back on!!” helped.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Another spectacular performance from THE BEST GIRL GROUP in the world!
‘GENIE’ with added Manager Hwang rap is totally baus! And Bad Girl is one of my favorite tracks off the Japanese album.
Fukuoka is the last stop for SNSD’s Japan Arena Tour. Stay tuned for a post covering the final concert.
