Proud to be a UK citizen, the name of SNSD is starting to spread over Britain!
Not long ago, SNSD was featured on a popular online UK newspaper article, The Guardian. But this time, SNSD was mentioned on a VERY popular British magazine, Look magazine!….. And its on paper!!!
Their feature on the magazine talks about their to-come full English album thats due in 2013, meaning they will officially debut in the UK. “Their first UK single, The Boys, will be available for download from 20 December, and the album, recorded entirely in English, is set for release next year.”
Music means a lot in the UK and if they manage to debut with top reviews, they will no doubt reach number 1 in the UK Charts with absolute ease, just like Gangname Style did!

urrgghhhh, I hate always seeing them compared to the Pussycat Dolls. I’m kind of confused though; the Boys was released in the US but not in the UK until now?

i agree it is a HUGE difference between girls generation and pussycat dolls.
but what can you expect from journalists, just saying.
another thing that makes me feel annoyed is when they claim that psy paved the way for other groups like girls generations
where where those journalists when snsd had concerts in new york and paris for instance?
still dreaming of a snsd concert in stockholm/sweden though and hopefully thanks to psy that will hopefully happen.
if that ever happens thanks a lot psy 🙂

i just think that they will release the single for their fans not to promote that song, i just think that their label in US and Europe i just trying people know more about the girls so it will help them to promote their english album, thx god they didnt make the comeback this year.

I’ve seen that article and there were so many things wrong with it:
The article says “new South Korean band”. We all know they’ve been active for 5 years, and technically they’re not a band, as they don’t play their own music (although I bet they easily could). Granted, it does state later they formed in 2007, but then all the more reason why the mistake earlier should not be there! It also talks as if SNSD only just signed up with Interscope Records, when they did so over a year ago.
I also have a feeling the bit about The Boys is wrong; it’s already available on iTunes for download, right?
And it says they’re all bilingual and seems suggestive of them all being fluent in English, which is also not true.
Don’t mean to grouch, but I do feel I need to be critical of any article about the girls, especially one in my home country, where I would expect better journalism skills than this.

I agree with everything you said, they’re a bit behind the times…
Also annoys me that they’re being compared to the Pussycat Dolls, when they are nothing like them!

Wanted to add – although The Boys has been available to download on the UK iTunes, no physical CD was released…
